CAMBRIDGE, MA–TERC Senior Researcher and Evaluator Jim Hammerman has co-authored “User Behavior in NBC News’ Multimedia Educational Site, iCue” for the spring 2012 issue of the online International Journal of Learning and Media (IJLM). Hammerman was the Lead Evaluator for the iCue project. Collaborators include Jason Haas and Eric Klopfer from MIT, and Candy Miller.

“User Behavior in NBC News’ Multimedia Educational Site, iCue” investigates what happened when iCue was opened to the public and examines patterns of site behavior and interaction among users. ICue was developed by NBC News to use their archives of historical news footage as a tool for learning about history and politics, and to build on young people’s interest in new media and networked technology to connect them to the news.

Issue 3:2 of IJLM is currently available online at: http://ijlm.net/node/13058/. Soft copies of this article will be released at a later date.
