Geology is the study of the earth, [the] study of the land and the water … And to Natives, the land is very important. The land, animals, just the whole earth is just very important to Natives. So, they [my science and Native identitites] kind of intersect in that I’m going to be studying the earth, and how everything works and, at the same time, I’m also learning about my culture and how the land is important to them, and how geology uses the resources of the land. And then, [at the] same time, learning how the resources of the land are important to my culture and other cultures.
