Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI)
Dr. Matthew Madison (he/him/his) is a non-Indigenous Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methodology at the University of Georgia (UGA). Dr. Madison’s research focuses on the development and application of novel psychometric methods designed to provide more meaningful and actionable information to students and teachers in educational assessment contexts. In addition to psychometric research, he collaborates with applied researchers, using quantitative methods to answer critical questions in educational settings. Before his current position at the University of Georgia, he worked at the University of California – Los Angeles and Clemson University, where he taught graduate level research methodology courses. Dr. Madison earned a doctorate in Quantitative Methodology from the University of Georgia, as well as master’s degrees in mathematics and statistics.
