Author's StatementI think that’s one of the biggest barriers that I face, is not only in the academic level, but in the cultural level, not having someone to show me authentic ways to be Native American … Someone being able to show me how to do things and being in the likeness of our ancestors … I usually don’t share my Native culture with many STEM-grounded people. I feel like there’s a lot of biases in our STEM on campus, and so I just be myself in most cases, to where I’m just a blank slate, because I know that many of the people in our STEM career on campus are kind of biased to different identities, and stereotypical. I know that it’s sad to say, but it’s the truth.
