Project 1. Think Like a Designer  3D Printer Illustration

Students will: 

  • are introduced to the MPACT design/making model and design a bookmark to be 3D printed. 
  • learn about linear measurement conversions as proportional relationships and relation to 3D objects. 
Project 2. Make Fair Dice  Illustration of dice

Students will: 

  • use the design/making model to make a die for the visually impaired.  
  • learn about probability.  
  • write step-by-step instructions that anyone could follow to get the same outcome every time (CT). 
Project 3. Modify a Game   Board game illustration

Students will: 

  • use the design/making model to modify a game for the visually impaired. 
  • learn about  scale and properties of  scale drawings. 
  • figure out why a design will not 3D print well (debugging, CT).
