Mixing in Math is our interdisciplinary approach to math for children and those who spend time with them. We create materials for families, caregivers, after-school providers, librarians, and teachers to mix math into everything they do with children—from reading books to playing games to building towers to catching up on chores. There really is a dire lack of engaging math-based stories. … If the math concepts apply to everyday life, it would make for better math understanding. The story element has to be relatable.
