Mixing in Math is our interdisciplinary approach to math for children and those who spend time with them. We create materials for families, caregivers, after-school providers, librarians, and teachers to mix math into everything they do with children—from reading books to playing games to building towers to catching up on chores. I told [caregivers] that the pediatrician probably tells them to talk to their child, to read to their baby, to explain things to their babies. With these activities, they’re doing the same thing but with math.
