Director of Human Resources


Carol Lumm joined TERC as Personnel Manager in 1992 and has been Director of Human Resources since 1996. As a senior leader at TERC, she is responsible for compensation, benefits administration, recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance assessment, professional development, and compliance. She has both an M.S. in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biology from Boston University and came to TERC from The Architects Collaborative, Inc., where she was Personnel Manager. Carol is pleased to be associated with an organization that makes great contributions to the field of STEM education and research, values diversity, equity and inclusion, and supports staff work/life balance.
