TERC ‘s Adult Numeracy Center is piloting a customized EMPower curricular guide, accompanying teacher professional development, and online support for a rigorous, scalable, and Common-Core aligned mathematics pathway. The participating teachers work in New York City’s District 79 Alternative Schools and Programs, serving learners ages 16-21, and in the Office of Adult and Continuing Education’s program, serving adults 21 and up. The project is part of the Learning Pathways Pilot with funding from the MetLife Foundation.
