Global Lab Curriculum Featured in WestEd Publication

October 8, 2002

TERC's Global Lab curriculum was featured in Tales from the Electronic Frontier, a publication of WestEd Eisenhower Regional Consortium. Tales … chronicles the experiences of teachers and students using the Internet in K-12 math and science. The Global Lab curriculum, published by Kendall/Hunt, includes an international network of schools, and activities designed to help students use telecollaboration to expand their scientific investigations beyond the classroom walls and into the world. The article, titled "Something in the Air," describes the project a middle school classroom in San Antonio, Texas, undertook using minimal resources and loads of intellectual curiosity. Their work with the curriculum earned them the 1994 Texas Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
