TERC Researcher to Speak at Race Relations Conference

Maria (Mia) Ong, TERC project leader, will be a speaker at the third conference on Race Relations on New England Campuses, serving on the panel, "Priming the Pipeline for Multicultural Scientists."
Ong is the director of Project SEED (Science and Engineering, Equity and Diversity), an initiative of The Civil Rights Project at Harvard University, and a Senior Research Associate with the Center for School Reform at TERC. Her primary research is on women of color in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The conference, with the theme "Focus on the Future: Strategies, Actions and Alliance," is designed for college and university senior officers, affirmative action/EEO/diversity officers, faculty, staff, and students interested in best practices regarding race relations in higher education.
