ENC Focus Explores Data-Driven Decision Making
January 16, 2003
The newest issue of ENC Focus, a magazine published by the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse, features articles by educators and researchers on the theme of Data-Driven Decision Making. Nancy Love of TERC, author of the comprehensive guide Using Data/Getting Results, contributes an article in which she examines the "Uses and Abuses of Data," and in a separate interview shares her vision of collaborative data analysis in which teachers own the process and work together toward improvement.
In other articles authors share their experience overcoming barriers to data use in schools, using data to uncover patterns in student learning, and effectively using data to bring equity into classrooms. Visit www.enc.org/focus/.
